Daily eye care

Sight is our most important sense, through which we obtain more than 80% of information from our surroundings. However, our eyes are exposed to a number of negative factors every day – from the environment, through infections, to excessive strain. With regular care and eye hygiene, we can reduce the risk of several diseases and keep our eyes in good condition.

The most common disease is conjunctivitis, which can be caused by bacteria, viruses, or allergies. At the first signs, such as redness, swelling of the eyelids, or sticky eyes, it is advisable to use eye drops with a disinfectant effect (e.g., OCUflash or SeptoZINC).

How to prevent conjunctivitis:

  • Do not touch your eyes with dirty hands.
  • Use your own towel and change your bedding regularly.
  • Do not share cosmetics (e.g., mascara).
  • Protect your eyes from dust, drafts, and air conditioning.
  • Wear sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Contact lens wearers are more prone to inflammation, so they must pay extra attention to hand and eye hygiene. After removing the lenses, simply apply one drop of OCUflash to each eye. For even greater comfort, OCUflash blue is also available, which contains no preservatives and can be used directly with lenses.

OCUflash drops contain eyebright extract, which has been used to treat eye problems since ancient times. In addition, drops containing zinc (SeptoZINC) can also be used, as they have antibacterial and antiviral effects.

Basic rules for applying eye drops correctly:

    1. Wash your hands.
    2. Pull down your lower eyelid and put 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac.
    3. Gently close your eye and press the inner corner for better absorption.
    4. If necessary, repeat on the other eye.
  • Regular eye care and proper use of eye drops are simple steps that greatly help prevent infections and keep your eyes healthy every day.
